Inspired by the Martian topography revealed by Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter, this work explores an alternate planetary map scattered with artefacts of living systems — slime mould’s paths/ blood vessels/ miniature cityscapes/ Martian terrain names.
Mapping of reconfigured fragments of the red planet’s surface also reflects its environment like a veil of water — whose existence indicates primordial life forms — with the mirror, which superimposes the printed image on the reflected image.
Finitude of the act of ‘objective’ observation can be something like this: an accumulation of fragmented pieces of the world.
