Kentaro Okumura (b. 1999) is an artist based between London and Tokyo.

His practice spans various media and techniques, employing an Investigative Aesthetic to explore and problematize themes such as cartography, territorialization, translation, and technicity.

His recent interest is in the disclosure of the nature of science and art subverted by what Heidegger calls Gestell, and the visualisation of the power dynamic constructed by the act of mapping.

With the help of Yuk Hui’s Cosmotechnics, he pursuits the reconstruction of the organic solidarity between cosmology, science and technology, framing recursivity and computability in a novel dimension.
